The Encyclopedia of American Loons currently indexes about 350 people promulgating absurd ideas, from familiar faces like Sarah Palin and John Edward to folks who should be familiar like James Dobson to relatively obscure crackpots like Rashid Buttar and Adam McLeod. Each entry provides a succinct overview and links to more resources.
Good times.

Not true.
The Encyclopedia of American Loons is a useless compilation of character assassinations from
two ax-grinding nobodies who operate the site............and who are themselves among the biggest loons out there. In fact, they should be #1 and #2 on there own site.
And just who are these two "originators" and writers of "The Encyclopedia of American Loons"? A friend confided that they were "A couple of gays boys at a University."
Now, what could go wrong with that?
The comment above shows why we need a blog like American Loons. Anonymous seems blind to the irony of fulminating against character assassination while calling the bloggers "nobodies" and "a couple of gays boys." Not only is that a slur, but it is also a fallacy: argumentum ad hominem. Whether the bloggers are "gays boys" or "nobodies" doesn't make what they say false. It is a fallacy of relevance, and Anonymous should know that.
