See that ridge around the middle of the Saturnine moon of Iapetus?

Wonder what the hell it is? So do scientists.

Well, that's easy; that's the mark left by the mold in which Iapetus was cast. Somebody didn't take the time to file it off and make it smooth.

It's never been easy to find good help.

Don't be absurd. If this was a picture from Voyager, I'd believe that, but this is from Cassini --- we make the pictures with computer graphics now.

No, silly. I'm with Indri, those Celestial Modelshop guys are slackers. Either that, or Hepheastus was REALLY hung over when he forged that puppy.
