Danielle was thrilled to find out you'd posted her Hanukah poem, even though that blog is about the humiliation she suffered because her mother sent it to everyone she knew. Actually I was thrilled to see her poem here. I love the half-degree of separation in the blogosphere especially hook ups from left to right coast. Thank you!
Kids never find anything confusing; to them, its just how things are. I tell folks that I grew up with syncreticism, and we would have celebrated Chinese New Year if we thought we could get away with it.
I kind of dug how, to make things stretch over eight days, the Channukah gifts would get pretty random. Is today a day for an elaborate, cool set of Legos, or a single boring pair of socks? The suspense!
The blogosphere is a small world. And more than once, I've discovered that a blogger I know and like from pure text turns out to be a F2F friend of a friend.

ReplyDeleteStraight through college, as I remember, you and your brother were over-gifted. It must have been confusing when you were younger.

ReplyDeleteIt is nice to know that socks are traditional Chanukah presents in other places then Chicago, or my cousins' houses all over the country.
