Previously I showed you a little mashup of Mel Gibson's Passion of the Christ which was primarily a witty little meditation on the formalism of movie trailers—though it did offer one very sharp comment on the film as a final punchline.

Filmmaker Brian Flemming has done something superficially similar, taking a scene from the film and changing the soundtrack. Unlike the previous example's dig at Mel, this one is really directed at the sentiments that Passion presumes of its audience. Though it works through a simple, cunning formal trick, Fleming's clip is no mere formal exercise—it is a work of satire through and through, brilliant and vicious.

I should warn you that both clips are painfully violent, especially the latter one.
